Key Responsibilities
The selected Assistant Accountant will perform the following duties:
Financial & Accounting
- Prepare monthly doctors' share calculations.
- Maintain general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Process invoices, payments, payroll, and expense claims.
- Prepare monthly OPD and inpatient income reports.
- Perform monthly credit card reconciliation.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial records.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
- Support internal and external audits.
Billing & Patient Finance
- Monitor OPD and inpatient billing.
- Verify inpatient billing before final settlement.
- Update admitted patients regarding daily billing.
- Add new healthcare services to the billing system.
- Coordinate with insurance panels for patient approvals.
- Submit panel bills according to organizational policies.
Inventory & Cash Management
- Conduct pharmacy stock counting.
- Prepare monthly inventory reconciliation.
- Perform surprise cash counts.
- Deposit cash into the bank according to policy.
Administration
- Supervise reception-related activities.
- Maintain patient attendance and bed allocation.
- Ensure proper documentation of patient records.
- Coordinate with Regional and Central Finance departments.
- Assist in annual revision of OPD and inpatient service rates.
