Health Department Gilgit-Baltistan Announces Medical Officer Jobs 2026
The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan, Health Department, has announced vacancies for Medical Officers and Lady Medical Officers under the development scheme titled SPS Posts (Technical & Specialized Staff) for District Nagar.
Applications are invited from eligible doctors for appointment on a fixed pay (SPS) basis through scheduled interviews.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
- MBBS or equivalent qualification from a university/institute recognized by the PM&DC.
- Valid Permanent Registration with PM&DC.
- Gilgit-Baltistan domicile.
- Maximum age limit: 35 years.
Salary Package
Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly salary of:
Rs. 150,000 per month
The appointments will be purely temporary and on a fixed-pay basis.

Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications along with one set of attested photocopies of the following documents:
- CNIC.
- Domicile Certificate.
- Academic Certificates and Degrees.
- Experience Certificates, if applicable.
- Valid PM&DC Permanent Registration Certificate.
- Active Mobile Phone Number.
Applications must be submitted during office hours to:
Office of the Secretary Health, Gilgit-Baltistan Secretariat, New Secretariat, Jutial, Gilgit.
The application must reach the office on or before 11 November 2026.
Terms and Conditions
- Only candidates fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria will be considered.
- The list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on 12 November 2026.
- Candidates who fail to submit attested copies of the required documents by the deadline will not be considered for an interview.
- Regular or contract doctors serving in the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan may apply through the proper channel.
- Interviews of shortlisted candidates will be conducted on 16 November 2026 at the Office of the Secretary Health GB.
- Hiring will be purely on a fixed-pay/temporary basis. The contract will automatically terminate upon expiry if no extension is granted.
- The selected Medical Officers and Lady Medical Officers will receive Rs. 150,000 per month.
- Candidates will have no right to claim regularization of their services.
- The Health Department reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process without assigning any reason.
- If a public holiday occurs on the interview date, the schedule will be revised.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for the interview.
